He means well.
But now heโs drowning in deliverables, skipping lunch, missing deadlines โ and worst of all, resenting his team.

Introduce the S.A.N.E. Framework for boundary-setting:
1. See the Request โ What are they asking and why?
2. Assess Capacity โ Can you really take it on without overload?
3. Navigate Alternatives โ Who else? When else? How else?
4. Express Clearly โ Say โnoโ without guilt. Say โyesโ with terms.
Sample response:
โIโd love to help, but Iโm at capacity right now. Could we look at this tomorrow, or can someone else step in?โ

โข You run a boundary-setting simulation with managers:
โ Team member makes 3 urgent requests

โข You guide them on tone, clarity, and assertiveness.
โข They practice saying โnoโ โ and feel the freedom of it.

Train the managers to say no with strength โ and lead with sanity.
